Welcome to Ryu App! By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms outline the rules and guidelines for using Ryu App, our responsibilities, and your rights as a user.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use Ryu App.

1️⃣ Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service apply to all users of the Ryu App, including dog owners, caregivers, and anyone who accesses our services. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

• Modification of Terms: We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes, but it’s your responsibility to review them.

• Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use Ryu App. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2️⃣ Description of Services

Ryu App is a community-driven platform that allows dog owners to connect with other community members for dog care services, such as walking, sitting, and boarding.

• No Guarantee of Service: While Ryu App facilitates connections between users, we do not guarantee the availability, performance, or quality of service provided by other users.

• No Employment Relationship: Users of the platform are independent parties. Ryu App is not responsible for employer-employee relationships between users.

3️⃣ User Accounts & Responsibilities

To use Ryu App, you must create an account and provide accurate, up-to-date information.

1. Account Creation

   • Users must provide a valid email address, password, and other requested details.

   • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

2. User Obligations

   • Keep Information Accurate: Keep your profile, dog details, and care requests up-to-date.

   • Respect Community Guidelines: Follow the Community Guidelines for respectful communication, privacy, and behavior.

   • No Misuse of the App: You must not engage in fraudulent activity, harassment, or spamming.

3. Account Suspension/Termination

   • Ryu App may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or Community Guidelines.

   • If your account is terminated, you may lose access to your Ryu Dollars (RD) balance.

4️⃣ Payments, Fees & Ryu Dollars (RD)

​

1. Payment System

   • Ryu App uses a third-party payment processor to handle payments securely.

   • Payments are processed using Ryu Dollars (RD), which are the app’s virtual currency.

2. Purchasing Ryu Dollars (RD)

   • Users may purchase Ryu Dollars (RD) using supported payment methods (credit card, debit card, etc.).

3. Service Fees

   • Ryu App may charge a service fee or platform fee. This fee will be displayed before confirming a transaction.

4. Refunds & Cancellations

   • Refunds on Ryu Dollars (RD): Once Ryu Dollars are purchased, they may not be refunded, except as required by law.

   • Cancellation Policy: The cancellation policy for dog care services is outlined in the  Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5️⃣ User Conduct & Prohibited Activities

To ensure a safe and respectful community, users agree to the following:

1. Prohibited Activities

   • No Harassment or Discrimination: Users must not engage in harassment, bullying, or discrimination.

   • No Unauthorized Access: Do not attempt to hack, access, or disrupt Ryu App's systems.

   • No Circumvention: Users are prohibited from attempting to arrange services outside of Ryu App to avoid fees.

   • No False Information: Do not provide false or misleading information when creating a profile or requesting services.

2. Reporting Misconduct

   • If you see someone violating these Terms, report them through the in-app reporting tool or contact Ryu App support.

3. Consequences of Violations

   • Warnings: Minor violations may result in a warning.

   • Account Suspension: Repeated or severe violations may result in suspension or account removal.

6️⃣ Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between users or between a user and Ryu App, we aim to resolve it quickly and fairly.

1. User-to-User Disputes

   • Users are encouraged to communicate and resolve disputes directly.

   • If no resolution is reached, users can contact Ryu App Support for mediation.

2. Disputes with Ryu App

   • If you have an issue with Ryu App, contact Ryu App Support to resolve it informally.

   • If an agreement cannot be reached, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.

7️⃣ Limitation of Liability​

1. No Guarantees of Service

   • Ryu App does not guarantee the availability or quality of service from other users.

2. Limitation of Liability

   • Ryu App is not liable for:

     • Personal injury to you, other users, or dogs.

     • Loss of property during a dog care service.

     • Service Interruptions caused by technical errors.

3. Maximum Liability

   • If Ryu App is found liable for any damages, the total liability will be limited to the total amount you paid to Ryu App in the 6 months before the incident.

8️⃣ Intellectual Property
 

1. Ryu App Ownership

   • Ryu App retains all rights, title, and interest in the app, brand, logo, and trademarks.

2. User-Generated Content

   • Any feedback, reviews, or content you post on Ryu App becomes non-exclusive, royalty-free, and available for Ryu App's use.

9️⃣ Changes to the Terms of Service

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify users through the app or via email. The Effective Date at the top of these Terms reflects when they were last updated.
